Suchitoto-colonial town

Hello Again,

Today we are back in school for a half day of class. Our trip yesterday to the colonial town of Suchitoto was very nice. Our bilingual guide gave us the tour in Spanish, que bien! He was also very impressed by the students ability to speak Spanish. We saw the famous plaza with a beautiful church, a small artisan market, a lake tour and to top it off we met a very famous El Salvadorean man by the name of Alejandro Cotto who is a moviemaker/historian/philospher/ and much more. We were invited to his house to see his famous collection of Salvadorean history and beautiful views from his terrace. The kids were amazed by his hospitality. We ate lunch at a gorgeous colonial hotel. It was a very nice outing.

This afternoon the kids will go to a market here in San Salvador. There are no group activities planned on Saturday. Some of the kids may travel to the beach or mountains with their families. The Herrera family has invited us to the beach. On Sunday there will be a farewell party at a farm close to the city. We have really enjoyed our trip here. It went by way too fast! Take care, have a nice weekend!
